The Bunk Foundation is committed to improving the lives of animals by providing resources and support to individuals, organizations, and communities working towards a more humane and compassionate society for all creatures. We strive to create a world where all animals are treated with respect and dignity, free from cruelty and suffering.
With his soulful dark eyes and overflowing affection for all creatures, Bunk, the sweetest and friendliest Bernese Mountain Dog you'll ever meet, inspired his owner to dedicate their life to helping other dogs in need.

Shauna Sinnathamby (Bunk's mom) grew up in Sri Lanka and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2013, and now lives in New York City. As a lawyer, she developed her career in law firm management. A lifelong advocate for charitable causes, Shauna found the time to support non-profits in both Sri Lanka and the United States. Her journey as a devoted pet parent to Bunk ignited a deep passion for animal welfare. Driven by her unwavering commitment to helping those in need, Shauna established The Bunk Foundation to champion animal rights in Sri Lanka and United States.
Ways to Give
The Bunk Foundation does not directly receive donations. Instead, we partner with reputable non-profits in Sri Lanka. All funds contributed are channeled directly to these organizations to support their vital work.
